For the project I chose the topic of self-image. to reflect this, I used a One to One 3d Scan of myself, and then 3d printed with my 3d printers. I used a duel tone filament that were silk gold and purple. For the purpose of interactivity i chose to use an extremely low infill with an in fill pattern that only gave supports where needed.
After printing the 3d scan at half scale, I removed the supports with clippers and then used a hammer to remove the face, and break any of the infill to provide more empty internal structures without having it fully collapse in on itself.
The final part of the project was to cut printer paper into 12 sections and with those small pieces gathered anonymous responses of various classmates and friends on the prompt of ‘”how do you feel about yourself”, along with giving my own response. after gathering roughly 50 responses, I placed the responses into the empty 3d print, leading to some of the responses to be visible from the face cavity.
